Hearts for Hearts Girls - Dolls for Charity
Inspired by real girls from all over the world, the hearts for hearts dolls seek to inspire girls to be involved in contributing change and making a difference in their own community. Each doll is created not just for play, but for a cause as every portion of the purchase goes to World Vision who in turn contributes it to the country that the doll represents. At present, there are eight dolls from seven amazing countries - USA, Brazil, India, Belarus, Laos, Mexico and Ethiopia.

Why I love Hearts for Hearts Girls Dolls
I am writing about these amazing dolls (ometimes also called hearts 4 hearts girls) because I believe and support their cause of empowering little girls. My daughter has Lauryce and Tipi and she is saving up her allowance so she can collect them all in the future. With all the dolls available for little girls, Hearts for Hearts is presently one of my favorites, not only because of the cause they represent but for so many other reasons. Here are some of them:

The dolls is poseable, body is made of soft vinyl and the hair can be styled/combed;they stand at 14 inches tall but light enough to carry around.
Dell from Kentucky - Hearts for Hearts Girl Doll
Her story
Dell just moved to Green Lake with her family after the mine where her father work closed down. She has a love for music as she sings, plays the guitar and compose songs. Even if it was a tough time for the family, she found a way to help the poor people living in the mountains of Appalachia. She formed a knitting club with other girls and they make scarves, mittens, blankets and hats to keep them warm during the winter nights.
Lauryce from New Orleans- Hearts for Hearts Doll
Her story
Lauryce is a girl from New Orleans, Louisiana who is passionate about helping and rescuing animals from the shelter. She has a bestfriend named Amelie and together, they formed a special club called LIL Hearts which stands for Living in Louisiana Hearts. They do everything from walking the dogs, feeding the cats a, taking care of the birds and doing bake sale. All the money they earned goes to the club and the shelter where they volunteer.
Zelia from Brazil - Hearts for Hearts Girls Doll
Her story
Zelia is a girl who live in a coffee farm in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Every morning, she helps her parents in the farm by collecting eggs from the chicken house. She has a dog named Ze and a parrot named Zico. She is passionate about helping in saving the rainforest in Brazil by planting more coffees without cutting down the trees.
Nahji from India - Hearts for Hearts Girls Doll
Her story
While most girls in her community married young and raise family at an early age, Nahji insisted on going to school and getting good education so she can alleviate her family from poverty and give them a better life. She is a smart and brave ten-year old girl from Assam, India who empower other girls by telling them to believe in themselves, be brave and have a dream.
Hearts for Hearts Girl Doll Consuelo (Deluxe Set)
Her story
Consuelo lives in Mexico City with her family who owns and operates a bakery. She is a compassionate young girl who is determined to help the hungry and homeless children and orphans in their community. She came up with the idea of teaching these kids how to bake instead of letting them roam on the streets. Consuelo plays a big part in providing a permanent home and giving hope and directions in life to the homeless children in her community.
Lilian from Belarus - Hearts for Hearts Girl Doll
Her story
Lilian is a girl from Belarus who lives with her grandmother when her parents decided to find a job in another city. Even if their family were poor, her determination, creativity and smart thinking made a huge difference in the lives of the children in the orphanage. It was her idea to make the girls take photographs of their life in the orphanage and depict what makes them happy or what makes them sad. These photographs ended up winning a grant and the photos were exhibited in the museum. This paved the way for people getting to know more about the orphanage; donations started coming in and people wanting to adopt showed up at the orphanage.
Tipi from Belarus - Hearts for Hearts Girl Doll
Her story
Tipi is a girl from Laos who helps her father with his puppet plays. She loves painting, story telling and playing the instrument, khene. She goes to different festivals in Laos and read to stories to children to inspire them to learn and love reading. When her father was invited to tour around Asia and the United States for his puppet play, she came with her father. She had the chance to read stories to people about her culture and country and even play the khene in front of the audience.
Rahel from Ethiopia - Hearts for Hearts Girl Doll
Her story
Rahel lives in Ethiopia with her parents; her father is a health worker in the village and her dad is a farmer. She is passionate about improving the health of the people in her community where Malaria is a huge problem. She constantly helps her mother in her clinic and she dreams of becoming a doctor someday. She wants to make a difference in her community and she can't wait to grow up and walk around in stethoscope treating people in her village.
